Swimming an Itch is an exhibition of new works by British artists Matt Antoniak (b.1991, Nottingham) and Phil Frankland (b.1991, Isle of Man). The show is a culmination of an ongoing conversation between the two artists - discussing painterly history, material encounters and quotidian ephemera - and brings together paintings, drawings and textile works made over the past year in an installation at Convent and at locations across the city of Ghent.

Swimming an Itch is een tentoonstelling met nieuw werk van de Britse kunstenaars Matt Antoniak (°1991, Nottingham) en Phil Frankland (°1991, Isle of Man). De tentoonstelling is het resultaat van een voortdurende dialoog tussen beide kunstenaars - over schilderkunstige tradities, materiële ontmoetingen en alledaagse ephemera - en brengt schilderijen, tekeningen en textielwerken samen die het afgelopen jaar zijn gemaakt. De werken worden gepresenteerd in een installatie bij Convent en op verschillende locaties in de stad Gent.

De tentoonstelling werd mogelijk gemaakt met de steun van Stad Gent, Cultuur Gent, Arts Council England en A-N.
